Cindy Moeller is a native of Miami and earned her B.A. in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University. After moving to New England, she completed her Secondary Education Certificate from Central Connecticut State University. While at CCSU, she spent a semester abroad in Salamanca, Spain and completed course work at the Colegio de España. She began her career in Windsor, CT at Windsor High School where, over the course of her thirteen year tenure, she taught grades 9 -12 covering Honors World Literature, Honors American Literature, Senior English, and Communications.
After taking some time away from teaching to focus on her young children, she returned to teaching at Farmington High School in Farmington, CT where she was immersed in cutting edge pedagogical practices that focused on student centered instruction. During her four years at FHS, she taught Freshman English, Communications, Children’s Literature, and British Literature. On a personal note, Cindy is an avid reader and plant enthusiast; she lives with her husband Dave and their two children Grey and Marlowe, two Siamese cats, and beloved dog Chloe.
